Our 9cm palm leaf square bowls are ideal for small snacks.
Palm Plates are made from naturally fallen palm tree leaves, a totally natural renewable source. The use of cardboard on the other hand requires the widespread destruction of trees. ?
Pressed into shape, the leaves create robust, hygienic, stylish and 100% bio-degradable plates. By their very nature, cardboard plates are flimsy, making them awkward to use. And, contrary to popular belief, cardboard plates cannot usually be recycled. Why? Because they become permanently contaminated by all types of food. ?
As long as the Palm Plates have not been used for meat products, they can be cleaned and reused. Cleaning cardboard plates, even if that were practical, will not remove oils, fluids and liquids that have seeped into the cardboard; rendering the plates incapable of being recycled.
A 9? cardboard plate typically costs 6p and can only be used once. A 9? Palm Plate would cost just 26p. Used only three times, the comparable cost of the Palm Plate is 8.67p
