What is Astaxanthin?
Tap into this potent powerhouse to harness the benefits of its natural pink carotenoid. Found naturally in pink seafood – think salmon, lobster and shrimps, where it acts as a strong antioxidant, our vegan astaxanthin is derived from the fresh water algae – Haematococcus pluvialis. Carotenoids naturally help protect plants from damaging free-radicals. Free-radicals are unstable molecules which can cause damage to cells and DNA and are particularly harmful in excess to eyes and skin. A firm favourite here in the office!
Why is ours better?
We put our astaxanthin in a vegan suitable capsule with added olive oil to help maximise its absorption. We also put a hefty 4mg in each capsule so you get a maximal dose.
Who is this for?
We love it so much that we think it’s for everyday use but screen users and sun worshippers, beauty aficionados and photoageing phobes, as well as fitness fanatics and wannabe athletes will perhaps be first in the queue to add it to their daily regimes.
One capsule typically provides:
4mg Pure Astaxanthin from Haematococcus pluvialis. Extra virgin olive oil, capsule: modified corn starch, thickener: glycerol, carrageenan, acidity regulator: sodium carbonate; astaxanthin, antioxidant: d-alpha tocopherol. Our pure astaxanthin is extracted from an unpolluted source of the aquatic plant haematococcus pluvialis.
